About

After spending 60 weeks in the top 20 on the Western Music Charts, peaking at #7, Terry Brown's latest CD, "It's A Cowboy Thang" garnered a nomination for Album Of The Year from the Academy Of Western Artist in 2012 and has currently been nominated for "Album Of The Year" by the Western Music Association for 2013. The winner will be chosen from the 5 finalist and announced at the WMA Convention and Awards Show in Albuquerque, NM on November 23rd, 2013. Out of the over 1800 releases to Western Radio in 2012, Terry's CD was in the Top 15 Most Played Western Albums of 2012 and Terry was in the Top 35 Most Played Western and Contemporary Western Artist of 2012. His song, “Ride Cowboy Ride” was the #2 most played song at Western Radio in 2012 and currently sits at #60 on the New Music Weekly National Chart which represents the hottest new singles available to Secondary Market Country Radio. Terry's music video "Friends", released in 2012 on Youtube.com has had over 77,000 views by fans around the world.

Terry has toured for over 25 years and can shine in the singer/songwriter role with just his acoustic guitar or bring the house down with his band. He has performed with Chris LeDoux, Aaron Tippin, Toby Keith, and Brooks and Dunn as well as other major stars. With the release of Terry's new CD, "It's A Cowboy Thang", in March 2012, Terry feels like he has created a project that can help close the gap between traditional Western music and mainstream radio. Terry is known as "The Louis L'Amour of the Cowboy Singers". Hearing one of Terry's western songs is like reading a good western novel, only it doesn't take as long. Having performed his music at hundreds of rodeos and venues around the country, Terry knows a little something about the cowboy spirit and has a deep respect for our western roots.

With a catalogue of over 1200 songs and over 70 songs recorded by other acts, Terry's songs have appeared on millions of records worldwide. Terry has the kind of voice that is perfectly suited for the storyteller role. Its depth and emotional quality make you believe the stories he sings and makes you want to hear them again and again.

There have been many artists who have helped preserve our western heritage but few can paint a more beautiful or realistic picture of the cowboy and the west than Terry Brown.
